Team Mudlife Crisis

Come on in, and let's talk about taking on life as a middle-aged person who doesn't want to stop living! Obstacle course racing, diet, movement and exercise, and more are all fair game here!

I wrote up a blog post today on how what I'm seeing about the new Batman vs. Superman movie is pointing at this being the most motivational superhero movie thus far, particularly for the Mudlife Crisis age bracket.

What movies get you going to do what you do?

I would have to say any movie that involves a group or individual that has to overcome adversity. One that comes to mind would be Aaron Rolstons story made into the movie 127 hours. I am sure others will come to me and I will post as they do :)

I haven't seen that movie, but that book was absolutely fantastic. I'll have to watch it. (BTW - don't know if you remember those "Man Law" commercials for one of the beer companies, but I would crack up when Aron Ralston would talk about cutting his arm off and all the other characters in it would roll their eyes with a "here we go again" look).

Any movie like Rocky or Bloodsport with cool training montages always get me going, too. Love that sort of stuff.
